Farleigh Hospice Walks

Theres been a couple more of these walks too and each time Jay, Barrie and myself do the longer walk which works out around 14 miles. I can tell you I think walking is much harder than running - don't believe me ask some of my friends that do the Moonwalk or any of the other marathon mile events that are "just" walking!!

It's much nicer when it's a sunny Sunday walking along the canals etc from Heybridge Basin back to Chelmsford but last year it was cold, windy and wet. We still took part but it was much harder, the paths were so muddy and it wasn't really nice at all.

It occurs each May this year on the 10th so hoping to walk again, fingers crossed, but Jay can't get injured as he needs to run with me at the end of the month:-)

Must admit we haven't done the Santa fun run again, maybe one year if I can get Jay to run again, you never know he may enjoy the London Bupa 10000 and will think a quick 4K will be much easier this year? Watch this space!

Do we do any training for these walks - Er not really, but we like walking anyway. We have often walked around London insted of getting tubes and we walk a lot on holidays too.

But for us although it's getting out and about its also about giving a little bit back to the hospice at Farleighs and giving a bit to charity.
